Our Leadership

Hollie Barnes, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Owner

In Loving Memory of Hollie Barnes (1982–2024)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our CEO, Hollie Barnes, on August 30, 2024. Hollie was a remarkable leader, visionary, and compassionate individual whose passion and dedication left an indelible mark on PIE and everyone she encountered.

Hollie’s estate will remain the owner of PIE as we navigate the probate process, and we are committed to carrying forward her vision and values during this transitional time.

Hollie’s passion for leadership was rooted in her 15 years of experience as a School Psychologist and Director of a state agency. As a Deaf individual, Hollie dedicated herself to building meaningful relationships and helping others recognize their inner light. She encouraged everyone she met to embrace self-care, often reminding us: “You can’t pour from an empty cup. You need to take care of yourself first.”

Her open-door policy created a safe and welcoming space for her team, where everyone felt heard, valued, and supported—whether through quiet moments of reflection, heartfelt conversations, or a comforting hug.

Hollie’s vision for PIE was one of inclusivity, respect, and compassion. She worked tirelessly to inspire team members and community members to live openheartedly, with the intention of leaving each situation and person better than they were found. Her unique perspective as a Deaf customer enriched her ability to build stronger networks with customers, agencies, and communities, creating a legacy that will continue to guide us.

Though Hollie is no longer with us, her spirit, values, and vision remain deeply woven into the fabric of PIE. We honor her memory by continuing her mission to inspire and support all those we serve.
